The Revolutionary War demanded extraordinary courage. Farmers, tradesmen, ministers, and ordinary citizens left their homes and families to stand for liberty, knowing that failure could cost them everything. Their perseverance helped lay the foundation for the nation we call home today.
As Christian Templars, we honor their sacrifice while remembering that our highest allegiance belongs to Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. Earthly nations are temporary, but God's Kingdom is eternal. Still, we give thanks for the freedoms we have been blessed with—especially the freedom to worship, proclaim the Gospel, and live out our faith without fear.
This Independence Day carries special significance. America turns 250 years old. It is an opportunity not only to celebrate our nation's history, but also to reflect on our responsibility as Christians to be faithful stewards of the liberties entrusted to us. Freedom is sustained not only by brave soldiers, but by virtuous citizens who seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with God, and stand firm in truth.
May we remember those who secured our independence through sacrifice, those who preserved our Union through sacrifice, and all who have answered the call to defend liberty throughout our nation's history.
As modern Templars, our battle is spiritual. We are called to put on the full armor of God, defend the innocent, uphold truth, extend mercy, and bring honor and glory to Christ in all that we do.

Yet the outcome of history rests not in the hands of men, but in the sovereign will of God.
Today we honor all who gave their lives, praying that God would grant them mercy and remembering the immeasurable cost of a nation preserved. Their sacrifices remind us that freedom has always carried a great price.
Our Lord Himself said:

Later that year, on November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln returned to Gettysburg to dedicate the Soldiers' National Cemetery. In his brief but immortal Gettysburg Address, he called the nation to remember those sacrifices and to look toward a future under God's providence.

As Christian Templars, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and steadfastness displayed by those who stood according to their convictions. The Civil War was a heartbreaking conflict that divided families, communities, and a nation. Many soldiers on both sides knelt in prayer, carried Bibles, and placed their trust in Jesus Christ before marching into battle. They were fellow Americans created in the image of God, caught in one of history's greatest tragedies.
While history remembers the military victory of the Union, we can also recognize the greater outcome that followed. The preservation of the United States and the eventual abolition of slavery marked a significant step toward fulfilling the truth proclaimed in Scripture—that every person bears the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth.
As we approach Independence Day, may we remember that the freedoms we enjoy today were preserved through tremendous sacrifice. May we also remember that true freedom is found not in governments or armies, but in Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death on the cross.
As modern Templars, we are called not merely to admire the courage of those who came before us, but to imitate their faithfulness—putting on the full armor of God, standing firm in truth, defending the innocent, pursuing justice with mercy, and serving Christ above all earthly allegiances.

Today we celebrate the fathers who lead, protect, provide, teach, and love their families. We thank God for the impact they have had on our lives and the lessons they have passed down to future generations.
As Christians, Father's Day can also remind us of our Heavenly Father—the perfect Father who never leaves us, never forsakes us, and whose love endures forever. Earthly fathers may guide us for a season, but our Father in Heaven guides us for eternity.

Though they may no longer walk beside us, the love they gave and the memories they left behind remain with us.

On this National Flag Day, I pause to reflect on the blessings we often take for granted: faith, freedom, family, and the opportunity to serve others.
As Christians and Templars, we are called to stand firm in our faith, to pursue justice, to show charity, and to live lives that honor God in both word and deed. While flags and nations are symbols of earthly citizenship, our highest allegiance remains with Christ and His Kingdom.

May we never forget the price that was paid by so many, and may we strive to live lives worthy of the sacrifices made on our behalf.

The past several months have not always been easy. Like many others, I have witnessed challenges, uncertainty, and difficult moments within the Order. Through it all, I have remained committed to my faith in God, loyal to the principles of this organization, and steadfast in the belief that Christ must remain at the center of ev... moreFirst and foremost, I would like to thank GP Derek Nordio and the leadership of OMSDT for this promotion to Sergeant. I am truly honored and humbled by the recognition.
The past several months have not always been easy. Like many others, I have witnessed challenges, uncertainty, and difficult moments within the Order. Through it all, I have remained committed to my faith in God, loyal to the principles of this organization, and steadfast in the belief that Christ must remain at the center of everything we do.
When I first began searching for a Christian brotherhood, I was looking for a community of believers who would encourage one another, strengthen one another, and help each other remain firm in the faith. In OMSDT, I found exactly that. This Order has been a blessing in my life. It has strengthened my relationship with God, encouraged me in my walk with Christ, and surrounded me with brothers and sisters who genuinely care about one another's spiritual growth.
What I appreciate most is that this is not only a place where I can grow in my own faith, but also a place where I can help encourage others in theirs. We live in a world that constantly challenges our beliefs, and having a brotherhood that stands together, supports one another, and points each other toward Christ is invaluable.
I am grateful for the friendships, mentorship, and opportunities that OMSDT has provided, and I look forward to continuing my studies and service within the Order. I am excited to see what the future holds, the opportunities ahead, and the ways God will continue to work through this brotherhood.
