⚔️ HOPE IS NOT A WISH ⚔️

In today's world, hope often means, "I hope things get better." It's uncertain, fragile, and based on circumstances.
But the Bible gives us a completely different picture.
The Hebrew word for hope, tiqvah (תִּקְוָה), means confident expectation. It comes from the root qavah (קָוָה), which carries the idea of twisting strands together into a strong cord. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking—it is a life bound tightly to the promises of God.

A shepherd doesn't abandon the flock because wolves are nearby. He stays because the flock needs a shepherd.
Leadership isn't proven when everything is peaceful. It's revealed when challenges arise.
It's easy to walk away when disagreements come, when criticism grows louder, or when the path becomes difficult. But Scripture continually reminds us that God calls men to stand in the gap, not run from it.

Gospel of Matthew 5:3:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (NKJV)
The key isn't "poor." It's "poor in spirit."

What does "poor in spirit" mean?
The Greek word Jesus used is ptōchos, which describes someone who is completely destitute, someone who has nothing and must rely entirely on another person to survive.

Jesus wasn't talking about money.
He was talking about our spiritual condition before God.

Not every battle is fought with a sword.

The world hears the word jealous and thinks of envy or insecurity. But when God said,

"For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God..." (Exodus 20:5)
The Hebrew word in Exodus 20:5 is qannāʾ (קַנָּא). It means zealous, passionately protective, or devoted to preserving what rightfully belongs in a covenant relationship.
