In today's world, hope often means, "I hope things get better." It's uncertain, fragile, and based on circumstances.
But the Bible gives us a completely different picture.
The Hebrew word for hope, tiqvah (תִּקְוָה), means confident expectation. It comes from the root qavah (קָוָה), which carries the idea of twisting strands together into a strong cord. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking—it is a life bound tightly to the promises of God.

Our hope is not in governments, wealth, comfort, or our own strength. Our hope is in Christ alone—the One who conquered sin, defeated death, and keeps every promise He has made.
Stand firm. Hold fast. Let your hope be anchored in Christ.
