Every generation is tested.
Some generations are tested by war.

**"Who will carry the light when darkness becomes comfortable?"**
Every generation is tested.
Some generations are tested by war.
Others by famine.
Others by persecution.
Our generation is tested by something more subtle.
The gradual acceptance of compromise.
We are told that truth is relative.
That conviction is offensive.
That faith belongs only behind closed doors.
Yet the mission of a Templar has never been to follow the spirit of the age.
It has always been to remain faithful to the eternal.
The first Templars protected the road to Jerusalem so that pilgrims could seek God in safety.
Today, the roads are different.
Many people are searching for hope, purpose, and truth in a world filled with confusion.
Who will protect that path?
Not with violence.
Not with hatred.
But with courage.
With integrity.
With discipline.
With unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
St. Michael the Archangel did not ask which side was popular.
He asked only one question:
**"Who is like God?"**
The answer has never changed.
As we begin this week, let us strive to become men and women who bring light where there is darkness...
Hope where there is despair...
Truth where there is confusion...
And Christ where He is most needed.
May our words be guided by wisdom.
May our actions reflect humility.
May our lives testify to the One we serve.
