The same Christ who fulfilled His promise to come, die, and rise again will also fulfill His promise concerning our future glory. But rightly dividing the Word shows us that God’s present program for the Body of Christ and Christ’s prophetic return to earth must not be confused.

🔰 INTRODUCTION — THREE FULFILLED, ONE STILL FUTURE
The poster presents four tremendous truths:
“I will come” — happened.
“I will die” — happened.
“I will resurrect” — happened.
“I will be back” — get ready.
But as dispensationalists, we should make an important distinction concerning the fourth statement.
Christ certainly will return, but Scripture reveals different aspects of His future coming.
For the Body of Christ, Paul reveals a previously hidden hope:
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds…”
This is our blessed hope—Christ coming to catch away His Body before the prophetic wrath.
Therefore, we do not merely say:
“GET READY.”
We explain HOW a person is made ready:
BELIEVE THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD.
📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
📖 Ephesians 1:13–14
1️⃣ ARRIVAL — CHRIST CAME ACCORDING TO PROMISE
📖 Romans 15:8; Galatians 4:4–5; Romans 1:3
Christ's first coming was not accidental. It was the fulfillment of God's prophetic promises concerning Israel's Messiah.
A. PROMISED ARRIVAL
📖 Romans 1:2–3
Paul says the gospel of God had been:
“promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures…”
Christ's coming in the flesh belonged to what God had already promised prophetically.
The prophets anticipated Messiah.
Israel waited for Messiah.
And Christ came as promised.
GOD KEPT HIS WORD ABOUT HIS FIRST COMING.
B. PROPHETIC ARRIVAL
📖 Romans 15:8
“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God…”
Here right division becomes essential.
During His earthly ministry, Christ came particularly in fulfillment of God's promises to Israel.
Compare:
📖 Matthew 15:24
📖 Romans 15:8
This does not mean Gentiles were outside God's ultimate purpose. It means we must recognize the dispensational setting of Christ's earthly ministry.
C. PURPOSEFUL ARRIVAL
📖 Galatians 4:4–5
“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son…”
Christ came at God's appointed time.
His incarnation ultimately led to the cross—the very event God would later reveal through Paul in the fullness of its significance for the present dispensation.
🔥 PREACHING TRUTH:
THE CHRIST WHO CAME ACCORDING TO GOD'S PROMISE IS THE CHRIST IN WHOM ALL OUR HOPE RESTS.
2️⃣ ATONEMENT — CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS
📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–3; Romans 3:24–26; Romans 5:8–9
Christ did not merely come to earth to become a great teacher.
HE CAME AND HE DIED.
And Paul's Gospel tells us exactly why His death matters to us:
📖 1 Corinthians 15:3
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.”
A. OUR SIN REQUIRED PAYMENT
📖 Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Our greatest problem is not poverty.
Not politics.
Not lack of education.
Not social status.
OUR GREATEST PROBLEM IS SIN.
And no amount of human goodness can erase our guilt before God.
B. HIS SACRIFICE PROVIDED PAYMENT
📖 Romans 5:8
“...while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Christ did not wait until we became worthy.
He died for sinners.
📖 2 Corinthians 5:21
The sinless Christ became the sacrifice through whom righteousness could be provided to believing sinners.
THE CROSS IS GOD'S ANSWER TO OUR SIN.
C. HIS BLOOD SECURED REDEMPTION
📖 Ephesians 1:7
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…”
Notice:
Not through water baptism.
Not through church membership.
Not through keeping the Law.
Not through sacraments.
Not through religious works.
But:
“THROUGH HIS BLOOD.”
🔥 PREACHING TRUTH:
CHRIST DID NOT DIE TO HELP YOU SAVE YOURSELF—HE DIED BECAUSE YOU COULD NOT SAVE YOURSELF.
3️⃣ ALIVE — CHRIST ROSE FROM THE DEAD
📖 1 Corinthians 15:4, 17–20; Romans 4:25; 2 Timothy 2:8
Christianity does not proclaim a dead Saviour.
THE TOMB IS EMPTY.
Paul places the resurrection directly inside the saving Gospel.
📖 1 Corinthians 15:4
“And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
A. RESURRECTION WAS ACCOMPLISHED
📖 1 Corinthians 15:20
“But now is Christ risen from the dead…”
Paul does not present Christ's resurrection as symbolism.
It is a historical reality fundamental to the Gospel.
Jesus truly died.
Jesus was truly buried.
JESUS CHRIST TRULY ROSE AGAIN.
B. RESURRECTION ASSURES JUSTIFICATION
📖 Romans 4:25
“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
The resurrection demonstrates the triumph of Christ's finished work.
Our faith rests not in a religious founder lying in a grave but in the living Lord Jesus Christ.
C. RESURRECTION ASSURES OUR FUTURE
📖 1 Corinthians 15:51–52
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed…”
Because Christ lives, death does not have the final word over the believer.
The Body of Christ awaits glorification.
📖 Philippians 3:20–21
Our earthly bodies will be changed and fashioned like unto His glorious body.
🔥 PREACHING TRUTH:
THE EMPTY TOMB IS NOT ONLY PROOF OF CHRIST'S VICTORY—IT IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR RESURRECTION HOPE.
4️⃣ APPEARING — CHRIST WILL COME FOR HIS CHURCH
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–53; Titus 2:13
Here we must be especially careful to rightly divide the Word of truth.
Christ's future coming includes truths concerning both:
His coming for the Body of Christ, and
His later manifestation in judgment and kingdom glory.
These should not simply be collapsed into one event without distinction.
A. THE RAPTURE WAS A MYSTERY
📖 1 Corinthians 15:51
“Behold, I shew you a mystery…”
Paul does not merely repeat Israel's prophetic hope.
He reveals truth concerning the Body of Christ.
This includes:
the resurrection of the dead in Christ,
the transformation of living believers,
and our gathering unto Christ.
This is part of the distinctive revelation committed through Paul.
B. THE REDEEMED WILL BE CAUGHT UP
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
“...the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them…”
Notice the direction:
WE ARE CAUGHT UP TO MEET CHRIST.
This is why the believer's hope is not merely:
“I hope the world gets better.”
Our hope is a Person.
📖 Titus 2:13
“Looking for that blessed hope…”
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CHRIST.
C. THE RAPTURE PRECEDES PROPHETIC WRATH
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:9
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath…”
From a pre-tribulational Dispensational perspective, the Body of Christ is removed before God's prophetic wrath associated with the coming Day of the Lord.
Our destiny is not the prophetic wrath upon the earth.
Our hope is:
CHRIST COMING FOR HIS BODY.
And afterward God's prophetic dealings concerning Israel and the earth proceed toward Christ's visible return and kingdom.
🔥 PREACHING TRUTH:
PROPHECY LOOKS TOWARD CHRIST'S KINGDOM ON EARTH; THE MYSTERY REVEALS THE HEAVENLY HOPE OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.
⚠️ “GET READY”—BUT HOW?
This is where many religious messages become unclear.
They say:
“Get ready!”
“Repent!”
“Be good!”
“Go to church!”
“Keep the commandments!”
But how is a sinner saved today?
Paul gives the answer.
📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–4
Christ:
DIED FOR OUR SINS,
WAS BURIED,
AND ROSE AGAIN.
And:
📖 Ephesians 1:13
“...after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation… after that ye believed, ye were sealed…”
Therefore:
YOU DO NOT PREPARE FOR THE RAPTURE BY WORKING FOR SALVATION.
YOU ARE SAVED BY TRUSTING THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST.
🏁 CONCLUSION
Consider the testimony of Christ:
1️⃣ ARRIVAL
He came.
God kept His promise.
2️⃣ ATONEMENT
He died.
Christ paid for our sins.
3️⃣ ALIVE
He rose again.
The grave could not hold Him.
4️⃣ APPEARING
He will come again.
The Body of Christ awaits its blessed hope.
Three tremendous events are already historical realities.
One tremendous event remains future.
If God fulfilled what He said concerning Christ's first coming, death, and resurrection:
WHY WOULD WE DOUBT HIS PROMISE CONCERNING OUR FUTURE WITH CHRIST?
📖 1 Thessalonians 4:18
“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
