IF YOU DIDN’T WAKE UP TOMORROW, DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU’D GO TO HEAVEN?
Not “I hope so.”
Not “I think I’m a pretty good person.”
Do you know?
The Bible says you can.
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...”
1 John 5:13 KJV
Here’s the problem.
Every one of us has sinned.

Not “I think I’m a pretty good person.”

The Bible says you can.
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...”
1 John 5:13 KJV
Here’s the problem.
Every one of us has sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 KJV
You can compare yourself to other people and come out looking pretty good. That doesn’t matter when the standard is a holy God.
Sin separates us from God, and we can’t fix that separation ourselves.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 KJV
Notice that word.
Gift.
You don’t earn a gift.
You don’t work off your sins until God finally decides you’ve done enough. Going to church won’t save you. Getting baptized won’t save you. Giving money won’t save you. Cleaning up your life won’t save you.
Jesus Christ saves you.
God came in the flesh. Jesus lived the sinless life you couldn’t live. He went to the cross and took the judgment your sin deserved. He shed His blood, died, was buried, and rose again.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you... how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4 KJV
That’s the Gospel.
Christ already did the work.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
Salvation isn’t Jesus plus your good behavior.
It’s Christ.
Put your faith in Him.
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and that He rose from the dead. Stop trusting yourself to get you into heaven and trust the One who paid for your sins completely.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 KJV
Jesus didn’t say you might have everlasting life if you perform well enough afterward.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
John 6:47 KJV
Hath.
Present possession.
If your faith is in Jesus Christ, your salvation rests on what He did, not on whether you can somehow become good enough to deserve heaven.
You can settle this today.
Talk to Him. Admit that you’re a sinner who needs a Savior. Put your trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross.
The words of a prayer aren’t what save you. Christ saves you when you believe on Him.
If you didn’t wake up tomorrow, don’t leave the most important question you’ll ever face unanswered.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
