There is an old tradition that tells of a Knight Templar who was returning home after months of faithful service. His armor bore the marks of many battles, and his horse was weary from the long journey.
As he crossed a lonely mountain path, he met a poor shepherd boy shivering in the cold. The child had no cloak, no food, and no one to help him. The Knight could have continued on, for no one was there to witness his actions. Instead, he removed his own warm cloak, wrapped it around the boy's shoulders, shared his last loaf of bread, and prayed with him before continuing his journey through the bitter wind.
Years later, that shepherd boy grew into a humble Christian leader who dedicated his life to serving the poor. Whenever someone asked what had inspired his life of mercy, he would simply reply, "A Knight of Christ showed me that true strength is measured by the kindness we offer when no one is watching."
The greatest victories of a Knight Templar are not won with the sword, but with a compassionate heart. A true Knight protects the weak, comforts the broken, defends the innocent, serves the Church, and glorifies Christ in every act of mercy.
May we never wear the Cross only upon our mantles, but also within our hearts. Let every word we speak, every hand we extend, and every soul we encourage bear witness to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant." Mark 10:43
May God strengthen every Knight of the OMSDT Knight Templars Order to walk faithfully in humility, honor, courage, and charity until the day we stand before our Eternal King.
In Christ's Holy Service,
