DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Start With God
Scripture:
“Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)
Every morning, we wake up with a choice. We can carry the weight of the day on our own shoulders, or we can place it into the hands of the One who already knows the outcome.
Too often we pray after we’ve exhausted every other option. God never intended for us to invite Him into the middle of the battle—He wants to lead us before the battle even begins.

When you start your day with God, your circumstances may not change immediately, but your perspective will. He gives wisdom when you’re confused, peace when you’re overwhelmed, strength when you’re tired, and direction when you feel lost.
The key is consistency.
You don’t build a strong relationship with God by seeking Him only when life falls apart. You build it one morning at a time. One prayer at a time. One chapter of His Word at a time. One act of obedience at a time.
Just as a potter patiently shapes clay, God is shaping your life. Every trial, every victory, every delay, and every blessing is part of His process. But clay must remain in the potter’s hands to be molded.
Stay in His hands.
Some days you’ll feel on fire. Other days you’ll feel dry. Seek Him anyway. Feelings come and go, but faithfulness is what transforms a life.
The greatest changes God makes often happen quietly—in the moments when no one is watching and you’re simply choosing Him again.
Today, don’t just ask God to bless your plans.
Give Him your plans.
Trust that the One who created you knows exactly what He’s creating you to become.
Prayer
Father, thank You for another day of life. Before I take another step, I give this day to You. Lead my thoughts, guide my decisions, guard my heart, and shape me into the person You’ve called me to be. Help me remain consistent in prayer, in Your Word, and in trusting You even when I don’t understand what You’re doing. Mold me according to Your will and let my life bring You glory. I surrender this day into Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge
Before you check your phone, social media, or the news tomorrow morning, spend at least 10 minutes with God.
Pray.
Read His Word.
Be still.
Watch how consistently putting God first begins to change the rest of your day—and eventually, your life.
“Start your day with God, and you’ll never have to face it alone.”
