💔 “What breaks me about this image is that He stayed… even when the pain had reached its deepest place.”
His eyes were closed.
His body was torn.
His strength was fading.
And still…
He stayed.
He stayed
for the guilty.
He stayed
for the wandering.
He stayed
for the ones who would fail Him,
deny Him,
forget Him,
and still need Him.
Every thorn
spoke of sorrow.
Every wound
spoke of mercy.
Every drop of blood
spoke of a love
that refused
to leave us lost.

The cross was not weakness.
It was love
holding its ground.
It was Grace
choosing to remain
when it had every reason
to walk away.
And maybe that is what humbles me most:
Jesus knew
how much it would cost.
He knew the pain.
He knew the rejection.
He knew the silence.
But He also knew
that without His sacrifice,
we would never find
our way back
to the Father.
So if you feel too broken today,
look at Him again.
He did not stay on that cross
because you were perfect.
He stayed
because His love
was greater
than your sin.
Amen.
Quite humbling.
God bless my fellow Templars.
