When my Children were young ( i have two Girls now 38 & 35) i used to play a game with them. We had a constellation chart that I would project on the ceiling in their bedroom and it showed where the constellations were in the sky at different times of the year. I was a young divorced Father at the time with little money and we spent allot of time in the Back country Hiking camping and Backpacking and often we would lay out by the Fire under the stars and take in the night sky. The game would have a candy dish in the middle of the floor in their room and whoever got the constellation correct would get a candy. It was amazing how they took to this as a challenge. Once my younger Daughter Fallon asked... Dad why are the constellations important ? and I said Because if you know the night sky you will always be able to find your way Home. It is GOD's Map and when you can read it you will never be lost. To this day they Both are incredible Navigators in the Backcountry and the both can Navigate celestially with great efficiency. We often laugh about the candy dish and its influence on their desire to win lol. This weekend i went for a Trek and thought of those days in the Wilderness and all the lessons it had brought from God. The biggest lesson is still being able to find your way Home.... it was just then some 35 years later that i realized that God was teaching us so more than how to navigate by the Stars. He was teaching us to look to the Heavens and Navigate by HIM. In my life I have been to so many places in this world and have seen so many thing some good some bad some i carry with me wishing i could forget. But no matter the circumstance God always showed me the way Home.
So as we navigate our way through another week i pray for all the lost souls that they too will find their way Home.
All the trials that life brings us our Faith always carries us back to Him. With that I pray that you all have a great week and that you all find the lesson in my story, and may your candy dish always be full.
Gods Blessing to you all
