I knew he was a Christian and his Dad was a minister Because he had lead us in Prayer at the start of our Operation, so I knew what his distress was due to the fact it was his first deployment. Being his leader I asked already knowing the answer his words live with me every night when I lay my head down and attempt to sleep, SGT today I saw the face of true evil out there how do you deal with that ? … my only answer was when you lead us in prayer you asked God to protect us and bring us all home safely, we are all here. And we have cast the demons that perpetrated what you saw to hell for eternity. Be it known that today you answered Gods call to service. We climbed on the slick and I watched this young Soldiers try to hide his tears from the Team. Back at the pad everyone of those guys shook his hand and hugged him. The pain never goes away it just kinda hangs around. So yes Pray for our Soldiers our leaders and each other. 16 Years ago today that young man took his own life. Least we ever forget the sacrifice so many have made for this great Country and in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. Never be ashamed or embarrassed to pray for these fine Men and Women who have given so much for so little. I am sorry it has been a very tough week for me and I have no one left to share this with for they are all gone.
