“Hearing God Through Others”
Scripture:
«“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.”
— Proverbs 12:15»
Sometimes we expect God to speak to us through a dramatic sign, a dream, or a powerful moment in prayer. But God can also speak through the people He places around us.
A friend may encourage you when you are discouraged. A brother or sister in Christ may lovingly correct you when you are heading in the wrong direction. A pastor, mentor, or even someone you least expect may say something that suddenly brings clarity to a situation you have been praying about.
The important thing is discernment.
Not every voice is God's voice. We must test what we hear against Scripture, prayer, godly wisdom, and the character of Christ. God's voice will never contradict His Word.
Sometimes pride prevents us from hearing God because we have already decided what we want to hear. We need humility enough to say, “Lord, if You are speaking through this person, give me ears to hear.”
God often uses others to remind us of truths we already know but have forgotten. He may use someone to challenge us, strengthen us, warn us, or simply remind us that we are not walking alone.
Be willing to listen.
A Thought to Remember
“God does not always speak through a voice from heaven; sometimes He speaks through the person standing beside you.”
Prayer
Father, give me ears to hear Your voice, even when You choose to speak through others. Give me humility to receive correction, wisdom to recognize truth, and discernment to reject anything that does not agree with Your Word. Place godly people around me who will encourage me, challenge me, and point me closer to Christ. And use me, Lord, to speak Your truth and encouragement into the lives of others. Amen.

Today’s Challenge
Listen carefully today. Someone may say something that God intends you to hear. Don't be too proud to listen, and don't be too quick to dismiss the messenger.
Have a blessed day
