Going in Too Many Directions

Going in Too Many Directions
Scripture: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3
There are seasons in life when we try to go in too many directions at once. We chase opportunities, please people, worry about tomorrow, and try to control things that were never ours to control. Before long, our hearts become tired and our minds become confused.
God did not call us to run in every direction. He called us to follow Him.
Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27
A sheep does not need to know every turn of the road. It only needs to stay close to the Shepherd. In the same way, we don't need to have our entire future figured out. We need to listen for God's voice and take the next faithful step.
Sometimes saying “no” to good things is necessary so that we can say “yes” to what God has actually called us to do. Not every opportunity is God's assignment. Not every open door is the door we should enter.
If you feel pulled in too many directions today, stop and pray. Ask God to quiet the noise, clear your mind, and show you where He wants you to place your energy.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to stop chasing every direction and learn to follow Your direction. Give me wisdom to recognize what is from You and courage to let go of what is not. Steady my heart, clear my mind, and guide my steps. May my life move according to Your purpose and not my confusion. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Remember:
You don't need to go everywhere. You need to go where God leads.
Have a blessed day
