Spiritual Blindness
One of the greatest dangers is not physical blindness but spiritual blindness. A person can have perfect eyesight yet fail to recognize God's presence, His truth, and His purpose. Spiritual blindness causes us to rely on our own understanding instead of God's wisdom. It keeps us focused on temporary things while ignoring eternal realities.
Throughout the Bible, Jesus encountered people who were physically blind, and He healed them. Yet He also spoke of those who could see physically but remained blind spiritually. The religious leaders of His day knew the Scriptures, but many failed to recognize the very Messiah standing before them. Pride, self-righteousness, and hardened hearts had clouded their vision.
Spiritual blindness can affect any believer. It happens when we neglect God's Word, allow sin to take root, or become distracted by the cares of the world. We begin to lose sight of God's voice and His direction for our lives.
The good news is that Jesus is still opening blind eyes today. When we humbly seek Him, repent of our sins, and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, He removes the scales from our eyes. He enables us to see His love, recognize His guidance, and understand His truth more clearly.
Ask God each day to sharpen your spiritual vision. Spend time in His Word, remain sensitive to His Spirit, and allow Him to reveal anything that keeps you from seeing Him clearly. A heart that seeks Christ will never remain in darkness.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, open the eyes of my heart so that I may see You more clearly. Remove every distraction, every sin, and every obstacle that keeps me from recognizing Your truth. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me wisdom to walk in Your light. Help me to see people as You see them and to follow Jesus with faith and obedience every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
