Scripture:
"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." — James 5:16 (NIV)
Prayer is more than speaking words—it is entering into the presence of God. Through prayer, we express our gratitude, seek His wisdom, confess our sins, and place our burdens into His loving hands. God invites us to come to Him with confidence, knowing that He hears every sincere prayer.
Prayer may not always change our circumstances immediately, but it always changes us. It strengthens our faith, gives us peace in the midst of trials, and reminds us that we are never alone. Even when we cannot see God at work, He is moving behind the scenes according to His perfect will and timing.
Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places to pray. If the Son of God made prayer a priority, how much more should we? Every prayer offered in faith draws us closer to the heart of our Heavenly Father.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of prayer. Help me to seek You first in every situation and to trust Your perfect plan. Strengthen my faith when answers seem delayed, and fill my heart with Your peace. Teach me to pray with confidence, knowing that You hear every word. In Jesus' name, Amen.
