The importance of praying on the armor of the Lord every morning.
Heavenly Father, We ask You today for Your truth, As a belt tight around our waists.
We put on the zeal, To announce Your good news of peace, As shoes for our feet.
We put on Your righteousness, O Christ, as our breastplate. And the hope of salvation, As a helmet for our head.

Heavenly Father, We ask You today for Your truth, As a belt tight around our waists.

And the sword of the Spirit, Which is Your Word, O Lord.
Father may the love, With which You have loved Jesus, Be in us and may Jesus be in us.
We ask You for the grace, Of a servant heart.
Amen.
But where does this ultimately come from?
In one of the most famous passages in the New Testament, St. Paul outlines the spiritual armor every Christian must be clad in if we are to have victory in the spiritual life:
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.”
Ephesians 6:10-18
But who are the Principalities and the Powers?
They are both fallen members of two different sects or "choirs of angels" of which there are 9 total.
In Christian theology and scripture, "principalities" (archai in Greek) refer to an order of angelic spirits within the celestial hierarchy, their specific task is to protect nations and cities, though the term also describes fallen angelic powers or earthly structures influenced by sin. They are part of the invisible created order that holds rank and administrative authority in the universe.
Your spiritual armor protects you against all supernatural wickedness.
As a Knight, the first thing you should do in your waking hours is pray on this armor.
