EXPENSIVE GAS, BUT FREE GRACE
INTRODUCTION:
In a world where prices keep rising—fuel, food, and daily needs—people feel the pressure of survival. Yet while everything becomes more expensive, one thing remains unchanged: the grace of God is still free and sufficient. In this Dispensation of Grace, salvation is not affected by inflation—it is fully paid by Christ and freely offered to all.

Yet while everything becomes more expensive, one thing remains unchanged: the grace of God is still free and sufficient. In this Dispensation of Grace, salvation is not affected by inflation—it is fully paid by Christ and freely offered to all.
📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for thee…”
📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 — “For by grace are ye saved…”
1. COSTS ARE CONTINUALLY CLIMBING
📖 Ecclesiastes 5:10
Rising Prices – Earthly goods increase in cost.
Restless Pursuit – People chase more but lack peace.
Resource Dependence – Life revolves around material supply.
Realization of Emptiness – Wealth cannot satisfy the soul.
➡️ The world grows costly, but still leaves man empty inside.
2. CONFIDENCE IN RICHES IS COMPLETELY CORRUPT
📖 1 Timothy 6:17
Uncertain Riches – Wealth is unstable.
Unreliable Security – Money cannot protect eternally.
Unwise Trust – Trusting riches leads to ruin.
Ultimate Loss – Gain the world, lose the soul.
➡️ Trust in riches is misplaced—only God is sure.
3. CONDITION OF SIN IS COMPLETELY BANKRUPT
📖 Romans 3:23
Spiritual Debt – All have sinned.
Separation – Sin separates from God.
Sentence of Death – Wages of sin is death.
State of Helplessness – Man cannot pay his debt.
➡️ Spiritually, man is bankrupt before God.
4. CHRIST COMPLETED THE COST AT CALVARY
📖 Colossians 2:14
Debt Canceled – Sin debt nailed to the cross.
Death Conquered – Christ paid fully.
Divine Payment – God accepted the sacrifice.
Done Forever – “It is finished.”
➡️ Jesus paid what we could never afford.
5. GRACE COMES COMPLETELY FREE
📖 Romans 3:24
Free Justification – No payment required.
Faith Alone – Believe the gospel.
Finished Work – Nothing to add.
Full Salvation – Complete redemption.
➡️ Grace is not discounted—it is completely free.
6. GIFT OF SALVATION IS COMPLETELY SECURE
📖 Ephesians 1:13
Sealed Believers – By the Holy Spirit.
Safe Standing – In Christ forever.
Sure Promise – Eternal life guaranteed.
Strong Assurance – No fear of loss.
➡️ What God gives, He keeps forever.
7. GOSPEL CALL IS CLEAR AND URGENT
📖 2 Corinthians 6:2
Now is the Time – Today is salvation day.
No Delay – Life is uncertain.
Necessary Decision – Choose Christ.
Narrow Way – Only one way to heaven.
➡️ Don’t wait—receive grace today.
CONCLUSION:
Gas prices will continue to rise. The cost of living will increase. But the greatest need of man—salvation—has already been fully paid by Jesus Christ. You cannot buy it, earn it, or deserve it—you can only receive it by faith.
📖 Romans 6:23 — “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ…”
