👉 “You fall deep… Jesus reach down… lift you up. Trust Him.”
This image powerfully reminds us of a spiritual truth found throughout Scripture: no matter how deep a person falls—into sin, despair, fear, or brokenness—God is not distant. He sees. He knows. And He reaches down.
The “pit” in the Bible often represents a place of helplessness—like Joseph thrown into a pit by his brothers (Genesis 37), or David crying out, “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay” (Psalm 40... more👉 “You fall deep… Jesus reach down… lift you up. Trust Him.”

The “pit” in the Bible often represents a place of helplessness—like Joseph thrown into a pit by his brothers (Genesis 37), or David crying out, “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay” (Psalm 40:2 NKJV). It is a place where we cannot rescue ourselves.
And that is the key—we cannot climb out on our own.
But the good news of the Gospel is this: Jesus came down to where we are.
He didn’t stand far off and tell us to try harder. He entered into our world, took on flesh, and ultimately went to the cross to rescue sinners.
This picture beautifully illustrates that truth—Christ reaching down into the darkness, into the depth, into the place where we are stuck… offering His hand.
The question is not whether He is willing—He is.
The question is: will we take His hand?
👉 Sin pulls us down.
👉 Pride keeps us there.
👉 But grace reaches down.
No matter how far you’ve fallen, no matter how deep the pit feels—you are not beyond His reach.
“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him…” (Hebrews 7:25 NKJV)
Today, if you feel stuck, buried, or without hope—look up.
Jesus is still reaching.
