An extraordinary exposition of the mortal remains of Saint Francis of Assisi took place from February 22 to March 22, 2026, in the lower church of the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi. The event, part of the celebrations for the eighth centenary of the saint's death, included the veneration of the remains of the "Poverello," visible to the public in a shrine.
